HOW TO REACH FUKUI
There are several routes to reach Fukui from Tokyo (Narita), Nagoya (New Nagoya International Airport) and Osaka (Kansai International Airport):(1) From Narita International Airport:
Take JR Narita Express Train
JR Tokyo Station (Take JR Shinkansen "Hikari" Super Express)
JR Maibara Station (Transfer to "Shirasagi" Limited Express via JR Hokuriku Line
JR Fukui Station.(2) From Narita International Airport:
Tokyo Haneda Airport (By Airplane)
Komatsu Airport (Take Limousine Bus or JR Train)
JR Fukui Station.(3) From New Nagoya (Chubu) International Airport:
JR Nagoya Station JR Fukui Station. (4) From Kansai International Airport:
Take JR Train "Haruka"
JR Shin Osaka Station
(Transfer to "Raicho" Limited Express via Kosei Line)

To overseas participants using Kansai International Airport (KIA):
(1) From KIA to Fukui: Express train, "Haruka" arrives at Track No.11 at JR Shin-Osaka station. Change train here to an express train, "Raicho" or "Thunder Bird" for Fukui leaving from Track No. 12 on the same platform.
(2) It takes 7 min on foot from JR-Fukui station to Fukui Washington Hotel.
(3) From Fukui or Kanazawa to KIA: Your express train, "Raicho" or "Thunder Bird" arrives at Track No. 17 at JR Shin-Osaka station. Change train here to "Haruka" for KIA leaving from Track No.11. "Haruka" for Kyoto also leaves from the same track No.11. Therefore, take care not to take "Haruka" for Kyoto.
Participants who visit Fukui University:
(1) Ask a taxi driver to go to "Bunkyo Campus of Fukui University". It costs about 800 YEN by taxi to Fukui University Gate.
(2) Ask a gatekeeper to make a phonecall to Nomura (4526), Tobita (4527) or Kiyoshi Suzuki (4530). Some one in the office will meet you at the gate.
